These Mediterranean Pita Pizzas are a quick, easy dinner and a nice change of pace from regular pizza. It’s easy to customize each portion to everyone’s tastes. They are great served warm or at room temperature, so they are good for nights when everyone can’t eat at the same time. Mediterranean Pita Pizzas

These easy pita pizzas boast the flavors of goat cheese, olives, tomatoes, and feta. Great served warm or at room temperature.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Spread 2 tsp. olive oil evenly over one side of each pita. Sprinkle with a pinch of kosher salt and a couple pinches of oregano.
  3. Evenly place goat cheese, tomato, pepperoncini, and olive slices over each pita. Sprinkle feta over the top of each pizza.
  4. Place pizzas on a baking sheet, and bake in preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes, until feta begins to brown and pita isn’t too crispy. Slice each pizza into four pieces and serve.

Notes

Adjust amounts to taste. This would also be great with hummus spread on the pita instead of or in addition to the olive oil!

thank you, Andi :-) That pizza looks fantastic. Funny as my oldest just asked if we could use pitas for pizza crusts sometime!

You are very welcome! This is actually an old post that I just edited a little. It must not have sent you the trackback the first time, so I’m glad I updated it :)

This looks like a fabulous alternative to a regular hum-drum pizza recipe! I absolutely love pita’s, so I’ll have to test this recipe out the next time I want to wow my dinner guests. Thank you so much for the insightful tips!

Thanks so much! An idea I had after writing this recipe is spreading hummus on the pita first instead of the olive oil. We have a local pizza place that has a Middle Eastern pizza with hummus, and it’s really good!

I appreciate your comment because it led me to your site chock full of good stuff like Rice Crispy Milkshakes! Looking forward to perusing your recipes :)
