What Does Mango Milk Tea Taste Like?

Mango bubble tea has a fruity, tropical taste that fits just perfectly for any hot summer afternoon. The drink is sweet, fruity, and super refreshing, but with a creamier twist from the added milk. The amount of creamy perfectly complements the freshness of the green iced tea.

However, if you want a less sweet mango tea, you can always adjust the amount of sugar syrup you add. Also, is the same case when it comes to the mango flavor or the creaminess of the milk. Just go for whatever your family or guests prefer and adjust it to their liking! You have to be confident in your taste and intuition as a cook.

How Many Calories Are in this Mango Milk Tea?

There are approximately 400 calories per one (large) portion. Now, it really depends on the ingredients’ quantity you use. For example, if you don’t like your tea sweet and quit using sugar syrup, the result will be so different.

Does Mango Milk Tea Have Caffeine?

Yes, there is caffeine in the tea, considering we use green tea. Even though the amount of caffeine is far less than the one from a regular cup of coffee, there are people who would prefer their tea decaffeinated.

So, for those times when you prefer a chill drink, try to find caffeine-free green tea. There are a lot of brands on the Internet that offer green and even black tea options for people who prefer no caffeine in their drinks. Also, you can try to replace the tea with milk and have a milky mango bubble drink. However, I strongly recommend trying it first, as I find it too creamy for my taste.

How to Make Vegan Mango Boba Tea?

If you are looking for a vegan or dairy-free mango milk tea, use almond or oat milk instead of your regular milk.

What Is Mango Milk Tea Made of?

  • 1 Green Tea Bag: Feel free to use your favorite type of green tea. I went for jasmine tea.
  • ¾ Cup Mango Nectar: If you have a juicer, the best way to obtain pure mango nectar is to make it yourself. However, we don’t have always the time or the tools needed. So, you can just buy some pure mango nectar, even though it’s a little more expensive than the artificially sweetened juices. Also, try to avoid the mango mixed with other fruit juices as the mango flavor won’t be so authentic in your milk tea.
  • 2 Tbsp Simple Sugar Syrup: If you already have homemade sugar syrup on hand, you’ll save some minutes. If not, don’t worry! I have a quick and easy brown sugar syrup recipe.
  • ½ Cup Milk: 2% milk works best. You don’t want your tea to be too fat, as it’s mainly a cold and refreshing treat.
  • 1/8 Cup Quick–Cooking Tapioca Pearls: Boba pearls are 100% vegan. Even though the original recipe uses black boba, I preferred to go for white pearls for this mango milk tea recipe. However, the texture and taste are similar, so use whatever type of boba you find. In addition, if you can’t find quick-cooking boba, just adapt the boiling timing to what the product’s instructions recommend.
  • A handful of Ice.

  1. Make the Sugar Simple Syrup: Heat the sugar and water on a pan over low to medium heat. Don’t forget to stir occasionally. To make a thin simple syrup for sweetening your boba milk tea, heat the mixture only until the sugar has fully dissolved in the water.
