- 1 cup bow tie pasta, dry
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder or 1 clove of minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes or to taste
- 1/2 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese shredded
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- water if you want your sauce to be less thick.
Instructions
- First of all, cook the bow tie pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set it aside.
- Next, in a small saucepan, melt the butter.
- Then, stir in the flour and seasonings until blended.
- Gradually add the milk, broth, and water (if you want to go for a lighter sauce).
- Bring everything to a boil. Then, just cook and stir until slightly thickened (about 2 minutes).
- Next, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in cheese and sour cream.
- Toss the bow tie pasta with the sauce. Serve hot with extra chili flaxes and parmesan.
