- 30 ounces canned pinto beans drained
- 1/3 cup fresh salsa like you find in the refrigerator section of your grocery store
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice about 1/2 lime
- 2 tbsp. water
- 1 tbsp. butter
- kosher salt to taste
Instructions
- Add beans, salsa, cumin, lime juice, and water to a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
- Add butter to a medium saucepan, and heat over medium heat until melted. Add blended beans, and stir in butter. Heat to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Continue cooking over low heat at least five minutes. Add salt to taste.
