  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Cream Cheese Icing

  • 2 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/5 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoon 2% milk

Instructions

Combine All the Dry Ingredients

  1. Before everything, preheat your oven to 350℉ and place some baking paper in a bread pan. If you have nonstick baking spray, you can replace the paper.
  2. Then, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

Combine Wet Ingredients

  1. In a new bowl, add the cream cheese, butter, and sugar and mix them all using an electric hand mixer.
  2. Cream them on medium speed until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Next, add the vanilla, sour cream, and eggs.

Mix Together all the Ingredients

  1. Now, it’s time to add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. So, slowly add the flour mixture to the second bowl. Carefully mix all of them until the batter is smooth.

Bake the Cream Cheese Pound Cake

  1. Transfer the cream cheese pound cake batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake the cake at 350ºF for 50-60 minutes.
  3. When it’s ready, remove the pound cake from the oven and allow it to rest for 15 minutes before removing it from the pan.

Make the Icing for the Cream Cheese Pound Cake

  1. Whip the cream cheese for 2 minutes using your usual mixer and then add the powdered sugar and milk.
  2. Cream the icing until smooth.
