Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 pound carrots peeled and cut into sticks
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar If you don’t have brown sugar, it can be made with white sugar too.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground White Pepper

Instructions

  1. First of all, wash, peel, and cut into sticks your carrots.
  2. Then, place the carrots into a large saucepan and pour in enough water to reach a depth of 1 inch. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer the carrots until tender. (8 to 10 minutes.)
  4. Drain and transfer them to a bowl.
  5. Next, melt the butter in the same saucepan over low heat.
  6. Stir in brown sugar, salt, and white pepper until they dissolve.
  7. Then add the carrots to the saucepan and toss them until coated in the brown sugar mixture.
  8. Finally, cook and stir them until they are heated through and fully coated with the glaze. (1 to 3 more minutes)
