This elegant dinner takes under 10 minutes to prepare once your water is boiling. It is perfect for a family dinner or entertaining guests!

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 3

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb. gnocchi
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 tbsp. tomato paste I used double concentrated
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes or less to taste
  • 12 basil leaves sliced thin
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup rondelé® by Président® Light Garlic & Herbs Gourmet Spread

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add gnocchi, and cook until they float to the top (just a few minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick pan. Add the garlic, and quickly sauté about one minute. (Be ready with a lid because the oil may splatter.)
  3. Add the tomato paste and sauce, pepper flakes, and salt. Heat for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat. Add about the rondelé® cheese and half of the basil. Stir until the cheese is incorporated, approximately 1 minute. Add gnocchi to the pan, and stir to coat.
  5. Top individual portions with remaining basil.
