- 3 lbs russet potatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- salt and pepper
- extra melted butter to top
Instructions

Peel and cook potatoes until soft with the preferred method.

Drain excess water and set aside only one potato in a bowl.

If you only have butter from the fridge, melt it using a coffee pot with boiling water and a small bowl.

Then, mix together the softened butter with the minced garlic in a small bowl. Don’t forget to keep some extra butter for the end.

Add the butter and garlic mixture, the heavy cream, and the sour cream to the potatoes and mix until pureed with a hand mixer.

Finally, add the potato that you previously set aside and mash coarsely.
