Ingredients
Scale
- 1 batch pizza dough homemade or store-bought
- 3–4 tablespoons steak sauce I used Lea and Perrin’s thick steak sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 red onion sliced into strips
- 1 bell pepper seeded and sliced into strips
- 1 pound sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces (I used stir fry strips and cut them a little smaller)
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Grill Mates seasoning or your favorite seasoned salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese I used a blend of the two
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
-
Roll dough on a floured surface to a 1/2″-thick shape that will fit on your baking sheet. (You may need to make two smaller pizzas.)
-
Transfer dough to a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Spread a thin layer of steak sauce over the surface of the dough. Set aside.
-
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meat and vegetables, and sprinkle with the dry steak seasoning. Saute, stirring frequently, until meat is brown on all sides. It’s OK if the meat is still very rare because it will cook more in the oven. Don’t overcook it, or your meat will be tough.
-
Scoop meat and vegetables evenly onto your prepared dough, leaving the liquid behind. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.
-
Bake in preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes, until cheese and crust are starting to brown. Slice and serve!
