How to Make Crispy Fried Ravioli

These delightful Fried Ravioli bites are crispy on the outside with a cheesy filling. Toasted ravioli is a great make-ahead appetizer and can be fried in oil in no time.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 10 ounces refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 big egg lightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • oil for frying
  • 1/2 tablespoon parsley freshly chopped
  • 1/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil over high heat and cook ravioli for 2 minutes.
  2. Then, just place cooked ravioli on paper towels to drain. Set them aside.
  3. Place the eggs and milk in a small bowl, and whisk together with salt and pepper until thoroughly combined.
  4. Place the breadcrumbs and the grated parmesan cheese in a bigger bowl and mix.
  5. Dip ravioli in egg mixture then dredge in breadcrumbs mixture.
  6. Fry ravioli, in batches, 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Keep in mind not to put too much ravioli in oil. You don’t want them to stick.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining ravioli.
  8. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley, and serve with your favorite sauce or dip.
