Ingredients
Scale
- 3 peaches peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
-
** If using canned peaches (like I did), skip steps 1 and 2 and go straight to step 3.** Add the sliced peaches, sugar, and salt to a saucepan and stir to combine.
-
Then, cook on medium heat for a couple of minutes, until the sugar is dissolved. Here, you’ll be able to notice how the juice came out from the peaches. Remove from heat and set aside to chill.
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
-
Slice butter into pieces and add to your desired baking dish (I used two little ones as I prepared this for only me and hubby). Next, place the pan in the oven while it preheats, to allow the butter to melt.
-
Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
-
Then, stir in the milk, just until everything’s combined.
-
Pour the mixture into the baking dish, over the melted butter, and smooth the batter into an even layer.
-
Next, just spoon the peaches (or canned peaches) over the batter. Also, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon generously over the top.
-
Finally, bake the peach cobbler at 350 degrees for about 38-40 minutes. I recommend serving it warm, with a scoop of ice cream, if you have it on hand.
