Ingredients
Scale
- 14 whole fresh mushrooms
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoon garlic minced
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
-
First of all, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare your pan with a baking sheet.
-
Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and carefully break the stems from them.
-
Then, chop the stems and set them aside.
-
Next, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry chopped mushroom stems and garlic until any mushroom liquid disappears, taking care not to burn the garlic (3 to 5 minutes). Let the mushroom mixture cool completely for about 10 minutes.
-
Stir cream cheese, parmesan cheese, black pepper, and onion powder into the mushroom mixture until very thick and completely mixed.
-
Now, use a spoon to fill each mushroom cap with a generous amount of stuffing. Arrange stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake in the preheated oven until piping hot and liquid starts to form under each cap (about 30 minutes).
