These cheesy and full of flavors stuffed mushrooms make the best appetizer for greedy kids and also for more formal adult gatherings. The parsley and garlic flavors pair amazingly with the creaminess of parmesan and cream cheese to form a favorite side dish for any occasion.

I cook these flavored stuffed mushrooms once in a while as my kids are super excited about it. However, I am almost never able to eat more than one… the little monsters make the cheesy mushrooms disappear in seconds! Once you’ll taste them, you’ll understand my kids, believe me!

  • 12 whole fresh mushrooms (tough ends trimmed);
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil;
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic;
  • 1 (8 ounces) package of cream cheese (softened);
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese;
  • ยผ teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • ยผ teaspoon onion powder.

  1. First of all, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare your pan with a baking sheet.
  1. Clean the mushrooms then whipe them with a paper towel and carefully break the stems from them.

  1. Next, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry chopped mushroom stems and garlic until any mushroom liquid disappears, taking care not to burn the garlic (3 to 5 minutes). Let the mushroom mixture cool completely for about 10 minutes.

  1. Stir cream cheese, parmesan cheese, black pepper, and onion powder into the mushroom mixture until very thick and completely mixed.

  1. Now, use a spoon to fill each mushroom cap with a generous amount of stuffing. Arrange stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
