A fun and easy party food!

Happy Monday morning to you. I should be extra fresh and cheerful this morning because I got eight hours of sleep last night, which is rare. Somehow the morning got derailed pretty early on. By 7 am, I had already dealt with a major 3-year-old tantrum, a 7-year-old dumping out enough Legos to carpet the living room, and a kitten pooping on the floor and tracking it everywhere.

Luckily, we made it through all that misfortune and are now wearing happy (and slightly weary) faces. The house is clean, no one is crying, and I’m already thinking about the quiet evening in my future. I wish it was going to include these delicious antipasto skewers. They are fun to assemble, and I think I could even do it with a crying child attached to my leg if necessary. I originally shared these last year at The Best Blog Recipes after making them for a mom’s night party at my house.

A fun and easy party food!

I love being a mom. I adore my kids. But sometimes it’s nice to wear clean clothes and talk to adults. If you are looking for an easy party food that is decidedly grown up, this is it. You’ll forget all about all the noses you’ve wiped, diapers you’ve changed, and fights you’ve separated when you are eating marinated artichokes and drinking a glass of chardonnay. Cheers!

Antipasto Skewers - A fun and easy party food!

Antipasto Skewers Recipe

These skewers are fun to make and easy to serve!

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 c. marinated artichoke hearts
  • 2 c. marinated mushrooms
  • 2 c. grape tomatoes
  • 2 c. PITTED mixed olives
  • 812 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese diced into 1″ cubes, marinated in herbs or plain
  • 6 oz. sliced salami uncured if available

Instructions

  1. Skewer all ingredients in an alternating pattern on wooden or metal skewers. Fold the salami slices in half or fourths before skewering, depending on the size.
  2. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Entertaining doesn’t get any easier than that!

Amounts are approximate. This recipe is easy to scale and customize, so make it your own and have fun!

Hi Andi,
Did you add any oil/vinegar to these? Does the mozzarella come marinated in herbs or did you marinate them? If so, what is the marinade that you used? Thanks.

Hi, Donna! I used mostly pre-marinated ingredients (mushrooms, artichokes, and mozzarella), so I didn’t need to add extra seasoning. If you wanted to marinate your own, I would mix up a simple vinaigrette of olive oil, white wine vinegar, crushed garlic, and fresh or dried herbs like basil and oregano with a little salt and pepper. Or, a time saver would be to just use bottled Italian salad dressing!

I LOVE this recipe! It’s going to be great for a Christmas wine exchange party (Similar to a cookie exchange, but with a case of wine! Brilliant!). This is just about perfect! One question, please…how many does this recipe make? Don’t know if I need to double it or not. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Love how easy and delicious these look!! What a perfect combination of ingredients, especialllllly the fresh mozz! I usually always have a crazy toddler attached to my leg while preparing dinner, haha and these would make things much easier. :) Pinning and making soon for sure!
