3 Easy Ways to Use Chocolate Spread as a Snack, Meal, or Dessert!

Have you been looking for a way to get more chocolate into your diet? Me too! Never fear because Hershey’s® has the solution for you in the form of spreadable chocolate in THREE new flavors: Chocolate, Chocolate Almond, and Chocolate Hazelnut!

3 Easy Ways to Enjoy Chocolate Spread: S'mores Sundaes, Chocolate Yogurt Dip, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Sandwiches! #SpreadPossibilities #HersheysHeroes

If you could please stop dancing around and return to your seat that would be great because I actually have more to tell you. Obviously, having a jar of chocolate spread and a spoon is really all you need for a good time, but let’s say you want to do something more than slather it on crackers, apple slices, pretzels, and shortbread cookies, etc. I have THREE super easy and tasty ways to create a chocolatey snack, meal, or dessert. You don’t need to turn on your oven for any of them, and older kids (with self-control) could even make these on their own!

3 Easy Recipes with Chocolate Spread

New Hershey's Chocolate Spreads #SpreadPossibilities #HersheysHeroes

1. Yogurt Dip with Chocolate Spread

First up is the snack: Chocolate Yogurt Dip! Be the hero of your next party with this fun and easy treat.

Easy Chocolate Dip #SpreadPossibilities #HersheysHeroes

For this easy chocolate dip, all you need is two parts Hershey’s™ Spread (I used Chocolate Hazelnut flavor) mixed with one part vanilla yogurt. (For example, use 1/4 c. chocolate spread and 2 tbsp. yogurt for 3-4 servings.) Stir them together like the dickens until your dip is smooth and gorgeous, and serve with apple slices, strawberries, banana slices, pretzels, or whatever else your heart desires. Be prepared to make more when the first batch disappears.

2. Chocolate Spread Peanut Butter Banana Sandwich Recipe

Next, pack a smile in your lunchbox with this Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Sandwich!

I just read that Elvis enjoyed peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwiches. Folks, I must urge you against the bacon because that is just… wrong. Chocolate on the other hand is seriously good.

The days of my boys bringing uneaten sandwiches home from school are over thanks to the addition of chocolate. My oldest said his friend was begging for half a sandwich when he saw what was on it. There you have it: Chocolate makes you popular.

3. S’mores Sundae Recipe with Chocolate Spread

Finally, I bring you something special. Really, really special: The S’mores Sundae!

S'mores Sundaes #SpreadPossibilities #HersheysHeroes

As it turns out, if you microwave your chocolate spread for 20-30 seconds, it is perfect for drizzling.

Melted chocolate spread #SpreadPossibilities #HersheysHeroes

I drizzled it over vanilla ice cream, then sprinkled the sundae with teeny marshmallows and cute graham bear crackers. (You could also use crushed graham crackers and regular mini marshmallows if those are easier to find.) The chocolate does firm up pretty quickly when mixed with cold ice cream, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious.

S'mores Sundaes #SpreadPossibilities #HersheysHeroes

Do I even need to tell you that we scarfed these S’mores Sundaes down in record time? I would also encourage drizzling your velvety melted chocolate spread over things like cheesecake and unglazed donuts. The possibilities are endless!

Enjoy Your Sweet Chocolate!

Hershey’s® is pretty much synonymous with chocolate, and I for one am thrilled to have this spreadable chocolate in my pantry. You have surely not seen the last of this stuff around these parts. I’m dreaming of incorporating it into baked goods next! What’s the first way YOU will use this new chocolate spread?

Just tried to warm Hershey’s spread to make a poke cake with the spread. Followed recipe called for 35 seconds to warm, stir and microwave10seconds more. First 35 cooked it. Bought another jar, 5 sec —still cooked it. Used syrup in place of spread

Everything looks delicious, but I must disagree with you on one thing. Bacon goes with everything! Yum. Lol. Thanks for the suggestions.

ice cream at some point and I’m sure I can get creative otherwise…it IS CHOCOLATE!
