You can’t beat these quick and easy tilapia sandwiches for a fast dinner. They can be on the table in only 15 minutes!

Tilapia Sandwiches with Spicy Mayo

These savory, spicy tilapia sandwiches are always a big hit at our house. My #1 piece of advice for this recipe is to use sturdy bread. I chose soft hoagie rolls because I liked the shape, and we had to eat our sandwiches quickly before the bread fell apart. Choose something like crusty French bread or ciabatta rolls, and your sandwich will hold up beautifully.  This 15-minute dinner is perfect for weeknights!

  3. Slice sandwich rolls in half, and toast or broil the inside surfaces until lightly brown. Spread both sides with spicy mayo, and divide fish pieces onto the bottom slice of each roll.

Tilapia is a dangerous fish to eat, given that it is farmed in chicken wire crates and exposed to bird feces, which it then eats. No thanks. Substitute a less disgusting fish and I’m sure these will be good.

Hi, Chris. You can use whatever fish you’d like in the recipe!

We REALLY enjoyed these last night and the left over mayo will be great on turkey sandwiches this weekend! Thanks Andi!

I just had fish tacos for the first time last summer (what?! Crazy, I know. I loved them! All the years of fish tacos I’ve missed out on!), but I’ve never had a fish sandwich. Pan fried fish in a sandwich sounds delicious. I do not make enough seafood for my husband’s tastes, this looks like a good practice dish that he would really like!

Until I moved to California, I had never heard of fish tacos. They sounded like a weird idea to me, but once I tried them I was hooked! I did grow up with shrimp and catfish sandwiches in Mississippi, but the seafood was usually fried so a whole different thing. Let me know if you give these a try!

I don’t know why, but I never think to put fish in a sandwich! That looks really good:)

Sorry for the delay, but thank you! Fish sandwiches are really tasty, but they can be pretty juicy so bread choice is critical. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
