Chewy Yogurt Pizza Crust

Do you like making pizza at home? I sure do! I love that I have total control over what goes in it and can put the exact amount of sauce, toppings, and cheese that I want.

I have the power!

There has been a lot of talk going around about 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough, and I was excited to give it a try. I read many comments warning me not to use a 1:1 ratio of flour and yogurt, so I modified the measurements. I don’t use self-rising flour, so I added a leavening agent to all-purpose flour. I also added garlic powder and salt to give a flavor boost. All this turned into easy, chewy pizza crust!

You really want to use a stand mixer for this recipe if possible. Mine has a dough hook, and the mixer does all the work for me. If you don’t have a mixer, you can stir it as best you can by hand and then knead it for about 10 minutes. I haven’t made it by hand this way, but I’m sure it will work. If you need a stand mixer, here are a couple recommendations from Amazon (affiliate links):

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Add all crust ingredients to mixer bowl, and stir with spatula just until combined. Mix on medium-low speed with dough hook for 5 minutes.
  3. After 5 minutes, dough will be very sticky and gooey. Continue mixing, and sprinkle in 1 tbsp. of flour at a time until dough is thicker and more like a ball. Turn off mixer and transfer dough to floured surface.
  4. Divide dough into a ball. Sprinkle surface of dough with a little more flour and roll or pat/stretch into a shape to fit a pizza pan or baking sheet. Place your pizza-to-be on a pan lined with a silicone mat or sprayed with cooking spray.
  5. Spread desired amount of sauce over the crust. Add toppings and cheese, and bake for approximately 15 minutes, until crust is brown and cheese is bubbly. Slice and enjoy!
