The Weary Chef is Three Months Old!

Silly Weary Chef 3 MonthsThree months ago today I started The Weary Chef, and I’m very, very happy I did. This wasn’t something I planned for a long time. I had the idea for maybe a week and then suddenly decided to do it. I didn’t even have photos for my first menu (I have since added them), but I was inspired, excited, and ready to get started.

The first month or so was stressful because I was still figuring out how to fit in blogging with the rest of my life. Now I’m getting the hang of it, and instead of stressed I feel happy and fulfilled. I LOVE being a mommy and feel so lucky to stay home with my kids, but it is also very rewarding to create something that others can use and appreciate.

To every single person reading this: I’m so glad you are here.

I am grateful for every page view, pin, like, and follow; and comments truly make my day. I work hard to bring you tasty, easy recipes every single week, and I hope you will keep coming back for more.

The Weary Chef has been viewed well over 10,000 times. Would you like to know my most popular recipes to date? You would? Great! Drum roll please…

In third place, with 554 views, is Asian Green Beans with Ground Turkey over Rice. This is a delicious, easy dinner, and I love having a new use for ground turkey.

Our second place winner, with 1,007 views, is Cube Steak and Gravy over Rice. This one surprises me because this original photo is pretty terrible, but it took off on Pinterest anyway. It is definitely tasty and deserves its top spot!

And now, my most popular recipe so far, with 1,288 views, is Irresistible Cheesy Pesto Bread. This is not surprising because people love cheese and bread. Put those together WITH pesto, and you have something wonderful.

Here are a few Honorable Mention recipes that I think haven’t received the attention they deserve. Why don’t you give one of these a try this week?

My next goal, besides continuing to grow my readership, is to improve my photos. Shortly after I started, I talked about not posting cookbook-quality photos. Now, after spending three months oohing and aahing over so many other bloggers’ fantastic images, I want to try to make mine better too. I still have time and lighting limitations, but I am going to upgrade from my phone and terrible point-and-shoot camera and see what I can do.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this self-absorbed post. I will bring you a tasty recipe tomorrow to make up for it. Promise!

xoxo,

Andi (The Weary Chef)

Thank you, Ellora! I’m thinking about changing up my LGW ad. I signed up for 3 months (!) so people might be tired of seeing this one now that it has been three weeks. Good to hear that you noticed it!

Congratulations, Andi :-) Yay yay yay! Curious what your most popular Happy Hour post is. ?? If you’re 3-months-young, that means I found you in your early early days. It was the comment about wine, paper cups, and PTA that hooked me as you saying it meant that you have a fun soul and heart! Looking forward to many more months of your posts.

Thanks so much, Liz! I remember making the comment about the PTA meeting wine but don’t remember what I was talking about! I’m so glad you found me and have stuck around :)

My most popular Happy Hour post so far is Red Sangria, and White Sangria is second. Thanks for asking!
