Maple Almond Dip

Are you in the mood for a fun dip with fall flavors? This maple almond dip is just what you’re looking for. Thanks to Silk for sponsoring this recipe!

This easy dessert dip is my answer to a recipe challenge. Silk invited bloggers to make a meatless and dairy-free recipe that would be fitting for tailgating or watching Monday Night Football. Sounds easy enough, right? Silk has lots of products to choose from like cashew, almond, and coconut milks plus yogurt alternatives. With all that goodness, how hard could it be to come up with a fun recipe? Let me tell you the answer: It was really hard.

Besides the fact that I’m not really one to tailgate (as in, I’ve never done it), I realized it was challenging to find a recipe that didn’t contain meat or cheese. At first I thought I would make a dip or soup, but everything I thought of revolved around cheese. I guess I didn’t realize just how much of a meat and cheese addict I really am! Fortunately, the folks at Silk have put together loads of delicious plant-based recipes to get me started. If you’d like to pledge to go meatless for Mondays, you could win an Ultimate Gameday Room Makeover. Get the recipes and read about the giveaway right here.

I ended up switching gears and making a dairy-free dessert instead, one I think you will love for Fall! It’s perfect for dipping apple slices, graham crackers, or pretzels. You will be tempted to just grab a spoon and dig in! You can’t beat recipes that only need a handful of ingredients and take just a few minutes to make. I had everything I needed for this almond butter dip in my kitchen already. It had just the right amount of sweetness for dessert, but it’s actually pretty packed full of nutrition. We all know that almonds are a super food, and Silk almond, cashew, and coconut milks are all loaded with vitamins and more calcium than dairy milk. To find Silk products in your area, just use this store locator.

This sounds yummy! I am not really a fan of almonds. I wounder if cashew butter would work in place of the almond butter?

I think this would be a great healthier dessert for tailgating after all those gut busting brats, hot dogs and beer! Plus, it’s so easy to travel with. Great idea!

You made me laugh with “gut busting.” This would definitely be a healthier dessert option after all that!
