What could be more summer-y than a colourful, fresh and beautiful salad? I have ten of them for you today!
Hello! It’s Kirsten, Andi’s friendly Australian assistant, and I’m here to show you some salad recipes for summer today. To be honest, I am more of a winter gal myself. I just cannot deal with hot weather. This may be the fact that my skin burns within a second of walking outside (curse you, Scottish heritage), or perhaps it’s due to the lack of air-conditioning in my car that leaves me a sweaty, slimy mess if ever I have to drive any distance. I sure am an attractive lady in the summertime, that’s for true! Australia is a good place to live and all, but during the summer months (which is pretty much 11 months of the year), I often find myself wishing that my fridge was large enough to fit a person inside it – that person being me.
But fear not, friends, because summer also happens to be the time of year where the most delicious of foods are readily available. Mangoes and peaches come into season! Ice-cream and sorbet vendors suddenly appear on every street corner! Smoothies! Iced coffees! Exclamation mark! But perhaps the best thing about summer is – and prepare yourself, because you’re about to witness the world’s best segue – the abundance of ingredients available to make a gigantic array of delicious, colourful and healthy salads. Ooh, yeah. Smooth.
Want even more summer recipes? I’ve got you covered!
