I feel sort of sorry for Hawaii. Sure they have perfect weather, breathtaking beaches, gorgeous wildlife, and all that, but they get a bit stereotyped when it comes to food being called Hawaiian. That usually means ham and pineapple, am I right? I’m pretty sure Hawaii has a lot of authentic foods that don’t involve pineapple or ham, but we’re really focused on the pork and pineapple here in the rest of the US/world.

Hawaiian Pasta Salad is tossed with a creamy teriyaki base for a fun and delicious side dish!

I’d like to tell you that today I’m going to show you another side of Hawaiian recipes with this pasta salad, but I’m totally not. I haven’t even been to Hawaii, so what do I know about it?! This Hawaiian pasta salad recipe is tossed with a creamy teriyaki base and contains ham, mandarin orange slices, and, you guessed it, pineapple! It has a really fun and unique flavor that will add some pizazz to your next grill out!

You know what else will add some fun to your dinner? A glass of The Seeker Wines with your (so-called) Hawaiian pasta salad! Unlike me, The Seeker knows a thing or two about travelling and exploring. They are the only wine label I can think of that boasts a line of delicious wines with grapes from all over the world. The makers of The Seeker Wines have travelled, tasted, and enjoyed wines from all over to bring you the very best from countries like Argentina, France, Germany, Italy, and more.

The Seeker is a lively line of wines from all over the world.

You can see their spirit of adventure in the gorgeous labels featuring mid-19th century flying machines. The Seeker is also globally conscious, dedicated to leaving a small carbon footprint. They use lightweight glass, recycled and recyclable, locally-sourced packaging materials wherever possible, and their winemakers are committed to sustainable practices in the vineyard and winery. Delicious, beautiful, and environmentally responsible? That’s the wine for me!

I paired this pasta salad with grilled chicken and The Seeker Sauvignon Blanc. This light, crisp wine was a perfect partner to the tangy salad and savory chicken. If you prefer red wine, you might try Malbec or one of their other scrumptious reds.

The Seeker Wines are the perfect partner for Hawaiian Pasta Salad!

Use The Seeker’s handy dandy store locator to find their wines in your area. Also follow them on Facebook and Instagram for beautiful photos, recipe pairing ideas, and more. I love the combination of ham and pineapple with teriyaki – this pasta would be just amazing! And I agree it’s crazy that the only Hawaiian food everyone knows about is ham and pineapple things – there must be more great food there! :)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks there’s more to Hawaii than ham and pineapple but in the same time I can’t get enough of ham and pineapple!
Love the addition of the mandarin slices! Such a fun refreshing touch!
I have to look for the Seeker Wine in my area. LOVE those labels!!

I was surprised to see what you put in the sauce, but I see how it would make it so delicious!
