Your taste buds will love you for giving them this fresh and easy Cabernet Balsamic Strawberry Cucumber Salad! It’s perfect for Summer!
I was so excited when Marzetti® invited me to create a fun salad recipe with one of their delicious Vineyard salad dressings. Have you tried them yet? Marzetti® Vineyard Dressings are inspired by the vine with incredible flavors like Mixed Berry Merlot, Dijon Champagne, and Asiago Peppercorn Chardonnay. Isn’t your mouth watering just from reading those names??
Besides the creative flavors, I really love Marzetti® Vineyard Dressing because it is on the lighter side but uses real ingredients. When it comes to prepared salad dressings, I usually feel like I have to choose between light or all natural but can’t have both. If you look at the Marzetti label, the ingredients are all real foods you recognize, but each flavor has only 60-80 calories per serving. You can find these dressings in the refrigerated produce department of your grocery store. (Use their handy Vineyard Dressing product locator to find these dressings near you!)
Speaking of the produce department, what better fresh produce to use for a summer salad than cucumbers and strawberries? I have seen recipes for strawberry cucumber salad floating around on Pinterest for quite a while but hadn’t tried making one myself. When I saw the Marzetti® Vineyard Dressing Balsamic Cabernet Dressing, I knew it would pair perfectly with refreshing cucumber and sweet berries.
Since the dressing already has a perfect balance of flavors, the only other things I needed to add to this summer salad were onion and sesame seeds. When my husband saw this salad on his dinner plate, he was more than a little skeptical about the flavor combo. He didn’t think he liked the idea of pairing strawberries and onions, but then he said he actually loved the two together. We both cleaned our plates when I served this fresh salad recipe with tilapia. I can’t wait to have it again!
How will you enjoy your Marzetti® Vineyard Dressing? Leave me a comment to let me know, or share a photo of your salad creation on Instagram and tag @wearychef. I can’t wait to see what you make!
This easy, fresh Dill Dip is so perfect that you can skip buying store bought dips. You might not be able to get your kids to eat their veggies without it!
