Did you grow up eating sloppy joes? I sure did. I’ve known about Manwich for as long as I can remember, and there is so much nostalgia wrapped up in the brand. Manwich would like to be part of your family’s memories too, so why not have a Manwich Monday next week (or every week)? If you do meatless monday, never fear! Manwich doesn’t actually contain any meat, and you could mix it up with meatless crumble for a vegetarian sloppy joe. I used ground turkey in these sloppy joe quesadillas, but I have been using meatless “ground meat” more and more in pastas, nachos, and more. It would be perfect in this recipe!

The nice thing about sloppy joes (and sloppy joe quesadillas) is that they take two hands to eat, so it’s impossible to text and eat this dinner. (This one-handed stunt was just because I needed one hand on the camera. It was risky at best.) Turn off your phones and enjoy each other at the family dinner table with this easy, cheesy, messy-licious meal!

Looking for a fun weeknight dinner idea? Look no further than this easy, filling, and wholesome Sloppy Joe Quesadilla Recipe!

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Instructions

  1. Spray a medium skillet with cooking spray, and heat over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until heated through, breaking up meat as it cooks.
  2. Reduce heat to low, and stir in Manwich. Cook until heated through.
  3. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium high heat. Place tortillas on hot skillet, and spread a thin layer of cheese over the tortilla. Scoop Manwich meat over half the tortilla. When cheese is melted, fold cheese half over the meat half to make a semi-circle quesadilla, and transfer to serving plate. Repeat for all tortillas. Serve warm.

I grew up having Manwich once a week or so. Have a ton of homemade recipes, but have plenty requiring Manwich as part of the recipe. Would go with the slider recipe, well since I love sliders. The stroganoff lookedmtasty as well. Thanks for the recipe and giveaway!

I think I’d try the pulled chicken in the slow cooker. I never thought about using it with chicken, it sounds great. I’d probably make enough for a couple of nights & make it in to quesadillas the second night.

I always keep at least one can of Manwich on hand at all times. I love eating just basic Sloppy Joes made with it, and I’ve used canned biscuits to make little foldovers with the Sloppy Joe meat inside. I’d like to make the Sloppy Joe Slider Pull Aparts for one of my daughter’s get-togethers with her friends.

At first glance, Manwich® Marinated Beer Can Chicken . Not something I’d consider normally, never say never. I’m a sucker for roast chicken, always good for leftovers.
