If you love Buffalo wings, you’ll enjoy the flavor of these easy Buffalo Turkey Burgers with hot sauce and blue cheese cooked right in!
There seem to be trends in the food world like cake pops, kale chips, and Nutella recipes. Right now caprese seems to be the hotness, and I don’t know what else. If I did know, maybe I’d be a more successful blogger! I’m never up on fashion trends, so why should I do any better with food trends?
Case in point, are Buffalo recipes over? No, not the animal buffalo. I’m talking about the hot sauce kind. I don’t think I ever made Buffalo anything until I started using Pinterest towards the end of 2012. Then I found Cook Lisa Cook’s Loaded Buffalo and Chicken Casserole recipe, and everything changed! (Seriously, you have to try that recipe if you haven’t already. SO GOOD.)
My mom is crazy about buffalo wings, but I’m not much of a wing person. I’ll eat a few if you put them in front of me (as is the case with most everything), but they are so greasy and messy! I only like the drumstick kind because I at least understand how to eat those. The other ones with the two little bones and meat in the middle hardly seem worth the trouble. Maybe I should get in on the boneless buffalo wings trend. Are those just pieces of chicken? Or, I’ll stick to buffalo chicken wraps and these burgers, which are both easier to eat all around.
I hope everyone’s not tired of Buffalo recipes yet because I’m just getting started! Now where did I put that bottle of hot sauce…

Love these turkey burgers. I’ve made them lots since I left my review. I no longer add the breadcrumbs or milk, we didn’t love the texture it gave the patties. Super delicious!

Found recipe on pinterest. Tried this evening for dinner since I didn’t have many ingredients & alot of time. Super easy & quick late night dinner! These burgers are so bomb! I tried mine without the blue cheese & they still turned out really good. I also halved my recipe to do half not spicy for my roommate & the recipe even without the hot sauce/blue cheese added in still amped up my regular turkey burgers. Would deff try again. 10/10. I used a little bit under 1/4 cup of hot sauce because I had halved the recipe but honestly… Read more »
I’ve made these a few times and we love the taste of them but I have two problems – the outside chars quickly way before the inside is cooked. Our other problem is they never get firm they end up coming out like mush. Any suggestions??
Can you freeze these to make at a different time?
I love these so much! I only used 1/2 tsp of salt and it was plenty. I love anything buffalo and I love turkey burgers. I don’t add cheese to turkey burgers but I love cheese on regular burgers. Unless, its a Greek turkey burger, then I mix feta in the patties. I’ve made these twice now, thanks for a wonderful recipe!
Do the nutrition facts include the buns? If so I’ll probably do without to save on calories :)
Thanks for this AWESOME recipe! These are a great dinner or workweek lunch.
Question though: mine seem to be halfway cooked at around 2.5 minutes on one side, so I flip them (total cook time of 5-6 minutes tops). Should I be doing 7 per side, even still?
Thanks!
Hi, Barbara! Thank you so much! I’m really happy to hear that you like my recipe :) The cook time will vary based on how thick your patties are and how hot your pan is. Just cook them until they are done in the center, however long that takes for yours :) Have a good weekend!
