Thank you to Alexia Foods for sponsoring this collection of Easy Family Dinner Ideas made with frozen fries and onion rings. I had fun putting it together, and I hope you have fun trying the recipes!
If I could count the number of times I’ve recommended frozen fries as a side dish here on The Weary Chef, it would be a big number. We eat frozen fries and potatoes ALL THE TIME at our house. I do sometimes make my own oven fries, but they take 45-60 minutes plus actual work. I almost always go the easy route and pour frozen fries on a baking sheet, bake them for 20-30 minutes at 450 degrees, and enjoy perfect potatoes with almost no effort on my part.
When those fries are made by Alexia Foods, it’s even better because they are all natural and delicious too. If you look at the label of most frozen fries, you’ll see some ingredients you don’t recognize like preservatives or other additives. Alexia uses a short list of real ingredients, so you can feel good about eating fries on a regular basis. Good news for me!
I can hardly have a burger or sandwich for dinner without fries on the side. That’s half the fun of the meal! Take a look at some of these weeknight dinner combos that you won’t be able to resist (click the photos to see the recipes):

Buffalo Chicken Wraps – This 15-minute sandwich alternative is even better with a side of Alexia fries!

Sausage Rolls with Arugula – Serve them with sweet potato fries! (You can make a few rolls with hot dogs for the kids if they aren’t feeling the arugula.)

Two-Ingredient Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken – This isn’t a 30-minute meal, but it only takes about two minutes to throw it in the slow cooker! Serve it up with your favorite Alexia potatoes on the side!
As much as I love a heaping pile of fries, frozen potatoes aren’t just for a side dish. Take a look at these dinner ideas with Alexia potatoes incorporated into a one-dish meal! The first casserole is topped with Alexia Smart Classics Tri-Cut Potatoes, which are 98% fat free. They also make straight and crinkle cut fries in the Smart Classics line, so be sure to keep an eye out for those to enjoy fries with less guilt. Use the straight fries in the Chili Dog Casserole that follows for another fun and nutritious dinner.

(Good-For-You) Meat and Potatoes Casserole – This casserole is loaded with ground turkey and vegetables, topped with potatoes, and smothered in a light, creamy sauce.

Chili Dog Casserole with Cheese Fries – This fun, kid-friendly dinner has some sneaky vegetables in there to make it nutritious too!
Finally, I have a side dish idea featuring Alexia onion rings that would just as good on a weeknight as at a holiday dinner. Feast your eyes on this green bean casserole topped with onion rings instead of traditional fried onions! You might as well double the recipe because everyone will want seconds. Add diced, cooked chicken to make it a one-dish meal.
