Three ingredients and three minutes is all you need to mix up this delicious chocolate peanut butter yogurt fruit dip!
How was your weekend? Ours was OK except that my littlest boy was sick. I don’t know how it is at your house, but around these parts, a sick 3-year-old means a lot of whining and crying. He’s not whining about being sick really. He just has an even harder time than usual dealing with things not going exactly the way he wants. Mild discomforts like hunger and thirst resulted in a lot of meltdowns. Yesterday, when he said he wanted an apple, I hurried to get it for him before he burst into tears. Despite my haste, I wanted to make his apple snack a little more substantial, so I had about 90 seconds to figure out an accompaniment. Luckily, that’s about how long it takes to whip up this tasty fruit dip. I love peanut butter and apples, but I can inhale hundreds of calories of peanut butter real quick if I’m not careful. This dip gives all the peanut butter flavor plus chocolate in a lighter form thanks to nonfat yogurt. You could even try it with chocolate yogurt instead of vanilla for more chocolate flavor. I hope your family enjoys this as much as we did!

I make this all the time for my kids after school so they don’t resort to chips and sugary snacks. They love it. Thank you!

Good call on the this peanut butter yogurt dip. It sounds awesome and love how quick it is to whip up – especially before a meltdown happened. Hope he feels better soon…definitely no fun being sick :(

And the peanut butter apple pie—–I love the idea! I have one son who is a pie eating fool. And this Mom just loves him.

Don’t you just love it when stuff comes together like this? You have an idea and then BAM 90 seconds later you have a snack that is different and tasty. You’re a genius! Hope your boy gets better quick!

Thanks, Karen! He is doing better, but now I’m getting it. I’ll try to keep the whining and crying to a minimum, but I can’t make any promises ;)

Quick and Flavor, great way to satisfy the cravings
Queso is delicious. It is gooey, cheesy, and spicy. It is an absolute comfort food and something that is at its best when made with simple, grocery store ingredients. But for those of you that love...
Crema Mexicana (or Mexican style sour cream) is rich, smooth, slightly sweet and pourable. It works great as a condiment or as a substitute for sour cream or creme fraiche in dip and sauce recipes.
If you are like me I am sure you have made or eaten plenty of sour cream and onion dips that are made with onion soup mix or flavoring packets. Now those can be good, but this dip is GREAT! The only problem...
This is a herbaceous and fresh cilantro lime crema dip recipe that has only 3 ingredients, crema Mexicana, limes, and cilantro. It is amazing drizzled on tacos, nachos, quesadillas. I love this recipe...
I am a huge fan of queso, but it is often not realistic to whip up at home without substantially more prep time. I love this dip recipe because it allows you to have a lot of the flavor components of queso...
