When it’s cold outside, stay in and warm up with an Apple Hot Toddy!
I’ve had a bit of a cold this week, but I have too much to do to let it slow me down! Ain’t nobody got time to be sick the week before Christmas. To help ignore my sore throat, I enjoyed one of these apple hot toddies, which is very simple to make. You don’t need to be under the weather to sip on this warm cocktail. Why not get cozy with your sweet, spiked tea while you read, work on a puzzle, or watch a Christmas movie?
Warm up on a cold night with a comforting cocktail! Great for a sore throat too.
Total Time:10 minutes
Yield:11x
Ingredients
UnitsScale
1 tea bag I used Earl Gray
1 tsp. honey
1oz. apple liqueur like Berentzen
1oz. bourbon
a few apple slices
Instructions
Place tea bag in a mug, and pour in 8-10 oz. boiling water. Allow tea to steep for 2-3 minutes (or longer for stronger tea).
Remove tea bag, and stir in honey, apple liqueur, and bourbon. Add apple slices and serve.

bourbon cocktails always win in my book! Looks like I’ll need to find some apple liqueur though. Suppose I could sub in my crabapple hooch? Thinking I’ll try :-)

Yes for sure use the crabapple hooch! I think you can get pretty creative with hot toddies and still have them taste pretty good. Let me know how it turns out!
