Ingredients
- 12 frozen breaded chicken strips (you can also use fresh grilled chicken if you prefer)
- 8 dinner rolls
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 1/2 c. pickled jalapeño peppers sliced
- baby spinach and sliced tomatoes for topping optional
- mayo and mustard optional
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Bake chicken tenders for 15-20 minutes, turning once, until heated through and crispy. Remove chicken to a plate or cutting board.
-
Slice dinner rolls in half, and place them open on the same cookie sheet. Carefully arrange the chicken pieces on the bottom halves of the buns (chicken will be very hot!). You will probably need to cut some of the larger chicken tenders to make them fit.
-
Lay 1/2 slice of cheese over the chicken on each sandwich, and place a couple sliced jalapeños on top. Return to oven, and bake for about 5 minutes longer, until cheese is melted. Add spinach, tomato slices, or other desired toppings before placing the bun on top to serve. Enjoy!
Notes
If you don’t like spicy food, try making these chicken sliders with cheddar cheese and sliced dill pickles instead.

Great flavors, this will be a hit with my family!
Thanks, Julie. You can’t go wrong with chicken sandwiches :)
Yum Andi! This looks like the perfect easy dinner and I love how you spiced it up with some jalapeños! The spicier the better. ;)
Thank you, Ashlyn!
So great for an easy recipe! I am loving the spicy sandwich!
Thank you, Ginny!
OMG these look SO GOOD! Whenever we go to a fast food place, my older boys and I will order their chicken sandwiches. These are like the homemade version! I love the jalapenos and pepper jack cheese! These would make such a great quick dinner. Love it, Andi! Pinned!
Thank you, Jen! I might make these for my boys tonight minus the spicy (which is the best part). Do you your older boys like spicy food? I love it!
