Equally tasty hot or at room temperature, the air fryer green beans recipe can be made ahead and set aside if you want to cook a main dish using the same method.

In my opinion we never eat enough veggies; especially when our kids are such French fries and cheeseburgers fans! So, it becomes our job as parents to experiment more and more ways to convince them to eat nutritious foods. After a lot of failures, I found the best solution: a healthy side dish alongside a protein and delicious main dish. So, here it comes one of my favorites recipes of these healthy sides: air fryer green beans. Believe me or not, it really takes about 10 minutes to prepare it!

Air Fryer Green Beans Step-by-Step Recipe

Now that you have all the necessary ingredients at your disposal, here are the steps you should follow in order to rock this simple recipe. Keep in mind that this recipe is almost as easy to prepare as it is to eat in no time! Just take a look!

  1. First of all, preheat your air fryer to 380ºF.
  2. Next, prepare the green beans by trimming their stems and cutting larger ones in half so they are relatively equal in size, (if needed). Then, thoroughly wash them with cold water.
  3. Place the cleaned trimmed green beans in a large bowl along with the olive oil, salt, and freshly ground pepper. Toss everything to combine.
  1. Next, transfer the green beans to the air fryer and shake the basket to make sure they’re in a single layer. You may need to cook in two batches. (You can see in the below photos that I didn’t respect this step and cooked them all at once. They came out ok in taste, however, they lack crispiness. So, try to learn from my mistake and respect this step.)
  2. Cook until crisp-tender, shaking the basket halfway through, for 8-10 minutes total.
  3. Finally, squeeze fresh lemon juice on top and serve with your favorite main dish.
