Easter Bars: Cheerios and Pretzels in a No Bake Cereal Bar!

These Easter bars made with cheerios and pretzels are a festive treat that’s easy to make for any holiday!

These cheerios bars have pretzels and M&Ms for a festive treat that's easy to make for any holiday!

Are you excited for Easter? I’m not that into it, but I am in favor of any occasion that gives me an excuse to eat candy. It’s also fun to dye eggs with the boys. When I say fun, I mean it’s fun for them while I panic that dye is going to spill all over and ruin things. Sometimes we do they dying outside, which definitely reduces the anxiety.

Color eggs outside to reduce the worry about spilling dye!

Anyway, back to the food. These cereal bars are a fun way to enjoy festive candy, but they aren’t overly sweet. I used candy-coated pretzels, which add a pop of color and delicious crunch. These salty-sweet bars also have broken pretzel pieces and hearty Cheerios for a snack you will love.

You do need to refrigerate these Easter bars to get them to hold together. Since they are made with Cheerios instead of the traditional rice cereal, they crumble apart a bit more. That’s OK. They can crumble right into my mouth! If you can’t find the candy-coated pretzels, look for pretzel M&Ms, or you could use regular M&M’s. Chocolate is always a welcome addition to pretty much any dessert.

Oh my goodness, this looks so fun to make. I know if they were lying around in my kitchen, I’d devour them so fast. I have a weakness for cereal and pretzels. It’s that sweet and salty combo!

I love everything about these bars! My sister in law made me peanut butter no bake cheerio bars a few years ago and I love how these are an upgraded version of those!

These are so pretty! Now that my kids are older, I haven’t dyed eggs for Easter in a few years. I know my daughter would prefer making these Easter treats instead anyway.

Yes, I’d rather spend my time cooking over dying eggs (although I do love hard boiled eggs). Thanks, Joanie!

I LOVE these!! How adorable. I have a confession to make – I didn’t even DO the egg dying last year. 0.0 Bad mom alert. Dying eggs with 5 kids sounds like actual torture to me. I might enlist my husband. lol He usually rescues me from these things!

I don’t blame you, Nicole. Five kids + egg dye would give me an anxiety attack for sure! Your husband is a good man :)
