How to Store Chicken Meatballs
One more thing before I go: learning how to store meatballs is a trick that every cook should know. It’s amazing how easily you can prepare the chicken mixture in advance, freeze it, and bake them only if you want fresh meatballs. So, let’s learn together everything there is to know about storing meatballs.
Once you have baked your chicken meatballs and have some leftovers, put them in an airtight container and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days. Also, warm leftover refrigerated meatballs in a 350-degree F oven until heated through and steaming.
On the other hand, if you want to store some uncooked meatballs in order to bake them later, follow the next steps freshly:
Prepare the meatballs mixture as in the recipe.
Then, arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze until the meatballs are firm (about 1 to 2 hours).
Transfer the frozen chicken meatballs to a zip top bag.
Finally, this is it, my loves: one of my family’s favorite chicken recipes! Why? Because of the versatility of the recipe. We serve them in many ways and even take them on any road trip. You can add all sorts of extra veggies and flavors and transform the main recipe to your taste. My kids just adore chicken meatballs as much as I love to prepare them in only 30 minutes.
