How to Serve the Vegan Mushroom Gravy

One of the most popular ways to serve gravy is on top of mashed potatoes. So, I came up with a similar suggestion, too. However, I won’t recommend you any mashed potatoes recipe. Have you ever tasted Longhorn Mashed Potatoes with garlic and butter? They are super creamy, so the vegan mushroom gravy will make the perfect pair!

This Longhorn Mashed Potatoes recipe is one buttery and garlic-flavored way to serve your potatoes at home. Not to mention, you can prepare this restaurant-style side dish with more than affordable ingredients in less than 1 hour.

Another super delicious way to serve the vegan mushroom gravy is on top of a rice bawl. If you want to change something a little more than plain rice, but don’t have the mood for risotto, try the Cheddar and Chive Rice. You only need a handful of ingredients to make a rice dish that rivals risotto (without all that stirring). I used medium-grain white rice when I prepared this recipe, but you can use whatever variety you like (even quinoa if you prefer)!

Really, when isn’t cheesy rice welcome on the dinner table? It only uses a small amount of reduced-fat cheese to get all that cheddar flavor, so it’s a pretty healthy recipe. I hope it’s a hit at your house!

How to Make Vegan Mushroom Gravy at Home

This delicious vegan gravy is made with caramelized mushrooms and a little soy sauce for a depth of flavor. This vegan mushroom is sure to impress the meat eaters at your table too. The creaminess of the gravy makes it one of the best pairings for mashed potatoes. However, don’t believe me, go and try it yourself!

Ingredient List

As you’ll see in the list below, the ingredients are super affordable and the list is quite small. In addition, keep in mind that the type of mushroom you choose for this gravy can be adapted to your preferences. Once, I even made vegan gravy using Pleurotus mushrooms, if you believe it or not! They were the only ones I had in my fridge and some unexpected vegan guests were just announced at that moment. The result was quite impressive regarding the little trick I did.
