Easy Banana Nut Smoothie Recipe

Thanks so much to Silk® for sponsoring this tasty smoothie recipe. You need a tall glass of this Banana Nut Smoothie for breakfast! It has everything you need to start the day right, plus it’s dairy free!

You need a tall glass of this Banana Nut Smoothie for breakfast! It has everything you need to start the day right, plus it's dairy free!

I will be the first to admit that a food or drink treat makes me happy. If I’m feeling stressed, sad, tired, hungry, or grumpy, an edible treat is almost always the best way to cheer me up. Are you a fan of chocolate milk, frappuccinos, iced lattes, and that sort of thing? If you love cool, creamy, sweet drinks, then you are going to be extremely excited about Silk® Nutchello™. This nut-based beverage comes in three equally delicious flavors: Rich Dark Chocolate + Walnuts (OMG), Toasted Coconut + Cashews (yes, please), and Caramel Almonds + Cashews (irresistible).

Whip up a smoothie with rich, creamy Silk Nutchello!

Since Silk® Nutchello™ is new to the world, I understand why they asked me to help get the word out, but seriously, you don’t even need a recipe! Buy a bottle. Grab a glass. Go to your happy place. All of these flavors are incredible on their own! Don’t worry though. I did come up with an easy recipe for you using the Caramel Almonds + Cashews flavor, and I think it’s a pretty good one (if I do say so myself). If you love banana nut bread and peanut butter banana sandwiches, this smoothie recipe has your name written all over it. You’ll get all your favorite banana nut flavor in a grab and go drink!

Silk Nutchello is perfect for mixing up a smoothie or drinking on its own.

You will see in the recipe that I added coffee to my smoothie, but it’s strictly optional. I like adding coffee to just about any recipe I can, and it seemed extra appropriate in this case since breakfast = coffee as far as I’m concerned. You will love the result with or without a dash of java, so adjust that to taste.

Grab a banana nut smoothie for a wholesome, tasty breakfast or snack!

Look for Silk® Nutchello™ in the dairy section of your grocery store (even though it’s vegan). I have seen all the flavors in supermarkets near me, so I hope you can find it in your neck of the woods too. Please let me know how you like it on its own and in this recipe!

Looks good! And I agree that coffee makes everything taste better! In your photo it looks like the oatmeal did not pulverize completely. Have you ever tried using a Vitamix for smoothies? I bought mine refurbished from their website and I swear its the best appliance in my kitchen.

Hi, Brad! I use a Ninja and am pretty happy with it. I used the single-serve blender cup for this recipe, and I don’t think it pulverizes things quite to oblivion, but I don’t mind :) I have heard great things about Vitamix though. Maybe I’ll upgrade one of these days! Thanks :)
