Four-ingredient Pork Tips with Gravy might be my favorite pork recipe ever, and that’s saying a lot! This meal is so simple and delicious that you’ll want to put it on your menu every week. Thanks so much to Smithfield for sponsoring this recipe.
Tonight I’m going to a painting class, and I’m so excited! It’s a group class where an instructor teaches you step-by-step how to paint a specific picture. Everyone in the class is painting the same thing, but everyone’s finished product looks a little different. This is the third one I’ve been to in just a couple of months.
Before going to my first class, I was pretty sure I had zero artistic ability. Somehow, after doing my best to follow the teacher’s instructions, I ended up creating a decent painting by the end of the night! So far I’ve made a lady wearing a hat and a weathered wood plank sign with flowers and antlers. Tonight I’ll be painting two black skeleton cats with sugar skull faces. It’s Halloween themed, but if it turns out OK, I’ll leave it up all year!
These are paint and sip classes, which means we can bring wine to enjoy while we’re painting. I’m going with a friend, and it will be a nice moms’ night out. Before I go, I’ll need to feed the kids though! I think I’ll make this easy Pork Tips with Gravy again.
This dish is SO simple to prepare. The pork and gravy cook right up in one skillet. Add some rice and a green vegetable, and dinner is on the table in half an hour. It’s very easy to make and not time-consuming, and its favorable ingredients make it a piece of cake. This is a delicious treat to serve to your family, especially the kids. They will certainly love it. Try it out!
You know I love Smithfield marinated fresh pork because it’s always so tender. It’s pre-seasoned, so it makes recipes extra easy since you don’t have to think about getting the flavor right. Smithfield has already done that work for you!
I used Smithfield Roasted Garlic & Cracked Black Pepper pork tenderloin in this recipe. If you love pepper gravy, then this meal has your name written all over it. Simply dice the tender, fresh pork, and then brown it in a little butter. Sprinkle flour over cooked meat, and slowly stir in broth until a rich gravy has formed. That’s all there is to it! Four ingredients and your pork tips are done!
I feel I should warn you that Smithfield doesn’t skimp on the pepper in their cracked black pepper marinade. We’ve tried this flavor a couple times, and it’s a bit too spicy for my kids. If you want to turn down the heat, you can make this recipe exactly as written with another of their marinated fresh pork flavors like the original recipe, roasted garlic and herb, or steakhouse mushroom. You can’t go wrong no matter which one you choose!
Two simply and delicous modifications you can make to this pork tips with gravy recipe
Now this recipe is simple and tasty as it is, but these two tweaks can take the flavor to another level. I didn’t include them in the base recipe because I like keeping the base recipe as quick and easy as possible.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream. If you add a touch of sour cream right at the end before serving it will make the gravy extra rich and creamy. It will also help balance some of the heat from the pepper marinade.
Add 1-2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce to the gravy while you are adding the chicken broth. This will add a lot of great flavor and really make it delicious.
You can find the Smithfield marinated pork tenderloins and sirloins in the fresh meat section of your grocery store. Just look for this package with the black label. Find more quick and easy recipe ideas at the Smithfield Real Flavor Real Fast site!

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cubed pork, and saute in butter until just cooked through (about 5 minutes).
Sprinkle flour over pork, and stir to coat.
Pour in broth about a half cup at a time. Stir until smooth before adding more. Once all broth is added, simmer, stirring often, for about 5 minutes until gravy is thickened.
